My work, my paintings, are an unplanned journey to the self, a notion or idea that
begins in a certain emotional place and continues to reveal itself and be painted until I
feel I am there, and the work is there to be shown, to affect people.
It can take an hour or it can take a month.
I am always thrilled when I get public reaction and hear new,
sometimes surprising, interpretations. "Painting is an existential need for me, expressing
myself in color, shapes, and places where my words do not reach" .
